|   About Us The Academy of Creative Talent is owned and operated by Stacy Spector who started off in 1979 as a Band Manager, Style Consultant, Make-Up Artist and Booking Agent. In 1982 Stacy opened Sessions Studio, a full service Music Rehearsal Studio where she worked in Promotions, Sound Recording, Broadcasting and Voice Overs. Stacy ventured into the acting world in 1993 when her daughter caught the acting bug while playing a witch in her class play. Her daughter is still in the industry, a current Screen Actors Guild member, has been in the movies Mafia, Jack Frost, Star Trek IX, Small Soldiers, Deep End of the Ocean and television shows such as Chicago Hope, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Mad TV, Two of a Kind, The Winner and most recently My Name is Earl (to name a few). Then in 1995, she became a Screen Actors Guild franchised agent heading the Children's Department in the Commercial, Theatrical, and Voice Over Departments. She has successfully booked children with Sunkist, Mattel, Coca Cola, Polaroid, Bell Atlantic, Payless Shoes, Sugar Puffs, SciFi Channel, Legal Rights Defenders and Kodak. Eventually, after continuing her education, sitting on numerous sets, going to countless auditions, and standing beside the best in the industry, she got tired of seeing Parents and Children being taken advantage of and paying thousands of dollars up front for classes and pictures to Management Companies and ending up with nothing. She thought there must be a better way. So, not only has she started up her own company, She goes the extra mile in order to educate the parents on the "Do's and Don'ts" of the Industry. The First Division is: Online Submissions Once we feel that your child is ready, we will personally be able to set up a profile and submit their pictures for actual submissions to real acting jobs in the industry. The same jobs that the agencies get! Of course, actual employment will depend on whether the child is cast in the part or not but we will do our best to make sure that they are prepared and made available to the casting directors. This is a great way to jump start your child's career, especially until you get an agent or to keep abreast of the industry even after an agent selects you . We will also help you package and set up agent interviews. This is part of the Management Division.
The Second Division is: Personal Management A select few will be chosen to join the A.C.T. Management Kids. These are the children that Stacy will personally take under her wing and help manage their whole career from promoting them to agent and picture selection. This is by invitation only and will be discussed in private and on an individual basis. There is NO fee for this service. Any payments will be a percentage of actual earnings for bookings.
